Prospecting silver # 2

One good way to find silver deposits is in galena also called lead glance. Galena is the main ore to find lead but some of the galena actually holds up to 2 or 3% silver content which is usually worth more then the lead it is in. So do some research and see if there are any lead mines or lead discoveries in your area.

Prospecting for Copper

A majority of the worlds copper comes from South America, New Guinea, Indonesia, the United States, and Canada and most of that copper is found in the mineral chalcopyrite (
chalcopyrite is a brassy to golden yellow colored copper iron sulfide mineral}. You find chalcopyrite on the on the edge of large sections of igneous rocks.

Its very easy to see forms of chalcopyrite by the color patterns in some of it, kind of like rainbows in rocks, one can't miss it.(image above)

Another form of copper that can be found is native copper.( image to the right)
